Art After Work with Eva Marie
@ The WasteShed
1754 N Kimball Ave, Chicago, IL 60647
Opening Thursday, December 14th, from 5:30PM - 7:30PM
Join Intuit for a special edition of Art After Work in partnership with The WasteShed Logan Square for a hands-on paper ornament making workshop facilitated by artist Eva Marie. Register here.
Workshop Description
Using paper, participants will learn to create structural, three-dimensional ornaments in the tradition of Polish Stars that you can use to decorate your own home!
Polish Ornaments are traditionally made from sustainable materials – historically, these unique objects have been made from straw, paper, foil, and any broken items on hand. The Polish word for these ornaments is Jezyk, which translates to hedgehog (because of the ornaments spikes and many sides). Known as Polish Stars in America, Americans of Polish Descent continue this tradition of upcycled, one-of-a-kind holiday decorations.
Tickets
Due to the smaller capacity of the workshop, tickets are tiered at $5 – $15 for the event. Please select the amount you would like to pay at checkout.
