Explore a selection of extraordinary pieces in our newest gallery activation, Resilience: Untold Stories from NMPRAC’s Permanent Collection!
This exhibition features objects from NMPRAC’s collection that were hand-picked and curated by the museum’s staff members. Resilience provides visitors with an insider’s perspective on the museum’s permanent art collection, fostering a deeper appreciation for the preservation of Puerto Rican art tradition, both within the diaspora and on the archipelago.
As we embark on the journey to create NMPRAC’s archive and collections building located on Division Street, commonly known as Paseo Boricua, it is crucial to immerse our guests in the compelling narratives that underpin our cherished collection. In the midst of cultural shifts and challenges, the establishment of our archive and collections building serves as a powerful testament to the enduring resilience of the Puerto Rican community.
This initiative boldly declares that our culture is not only of immense significance but is also deserving of meticulous preservation. It stands as an unwavering commitment to the flourishing and perpetuation of our vibrant Boricua heritage, promising that our cultural legacy will continue to flourish and inspire generations to come.
