In cities around the world, urban landscape designers and artists are re-imagining and reshaping the future of design. Through architecture and design, Chicago Architecture Biennial works to emphasize community, sustainability, and equity in urban spaces. In partnership with the Study Hotel and Chicago Architecture Biennial (CAB), Chicago Humanities presents Botanical City Founder and Assistant Professor at the Illinois Institute of Technology María Villalobos in conversation with Visiting Assistant Professor at the Illinois Institute of Technology Dr. Nilay Mistry on preserving and transforming cultural landscapes and creating culturally and environmentally healthy neighborhoods through art.
