The exhibition is free and open to the public. COLOR CLUB’s 100-year-old home is not yet wheelchair accessible, but they are working on it.
Julius Caesar is ecstatic to announce a pop-up exhibition opening Thursday, September 28th from 6-9PM in participation with Gertie’s Chicago Exhibition Weekend. The exhibition will run for 4 days, with hours on Saturday, 9/30, from 12-6PM and Sunday, 10/1, from 12-4PM
When Julius Caesar collective rebranded in 2014, one of the changes we wanted to make was a commitment to love. Love for the artists we work with, love for our community, and a commitment to supporting through the exchange of seeing and being seen.
The exhibition “Loving Forms,” inspired by the wedding of our co-director Kate Sierzputowski to her partner Sam Clapp, is a group show looking at the range of forms love can take. From the fierce love of a mother-to-be, to the love expressed through mourning, to the love shared between humans and their animal companions, or even the love fans have for celebrities, “Loving Forms” looks to explore the breadth of our most powerful emotion. The group exhibition will feature a number of artists we have been proud to present in the past, as well as new faces to share their vision on a love they bring to form.
