Artists of The Pharmacy – Preston Jackson Gallery
Artists associated with The Pharmacy Gallery & Art Space in Springfield, Illinois display work in a group exhibit. The non profit was formed by 13 visual artists in 2011 inside the old Watt Brother’s Pharmacy. They quickly outgrew the space, and in 2018 they moved to their present home continuing to revitalize downtown Springfield with art and music events.
Tanya Bayer & Janet Bratcher – Gallery 3R
Some artists have a special ability to raise the secrets nature holds and spin them into something that most couldn’t have visualized. Seeing beyond the surface is the key to transforming the mundane into works of art. Janet Bracher of Moberly, Missouri resurrects dusty gourds, giving them a new life as sleek sculpture. CAC resident artist Tanya Bayer’s shaped and adorned wood panels provide a glimpse into a dream-world in which all creatures live in harmony.
