Sweet Home Chicago features a captivating selection of exceptional Chicago themed artworks curated by Marci Rubin. Deriving their subjects and inspirations from the Windy City, this exhibition reveals a didactic insight into the artist’s relationship with the city, being either a native or newcomer. Artistic interpretations celebrating the culture and diversity of Chicagoland are expressed and documented through photography, sculpture, painting, drawing, mixed media, and printmaking. A visual gallery tour guided by the artists residing in this region exhibits a neighborly exposé of the metropolis’ iconic architecture, neighborhoods, public art, people, commerce, CTA, lakefront & landscapes. These works created by Chicago’s thriving artist community represent the past, present and future of a Sweet Home Chicago.
