Zine 101 Workshop
@ Skunk Cabbage Books
2826 N Milwaukee Ave, Chicago, IL 60618
Opening Wednesday, June 7th, from 6PM - 8PM
Benji Russelburg of @gayzines will be facilitating a zine workshop for folks of all experience levels. They will teach us a bit about zine history and example zines as well as help us through making our own zines. Bring your specific interests and topics to explore in your own zine and share with others!
RSVP here.
Benji will be collecting pay-what-you-can donations from participants at this workshop to benefit Pushing Envelopes Chicago, which builds lgbtq+ community across bars through penpal relationships, legal aid, and re-entry support.
Workshops require everyone to remain masked throughout the evening. We have 3 large room HEPA air purifiers that will be running throughout the event. This event will be capped at 15 participants.
We have a restroom available to workshop participants, but we regret that it is not accessible. There is street parking available along Milwaukee Ave., but the shop does not have dedicated parking.
Please reach out to Ren (info@skunkcabbagebooks.com or (872) 206-8039) if there’s anything we can do to make this event more accessible to you.
