About the Event
Designed and led by Chicago artists, Family Day is a monthly program at the MCA for all families and youth. Enjoy FREE admission while taking part in workshops, open studio sessions, gallery tours, and performances.

Freedom From and Freedom To

Edlis Neeson Theater*
Watch movement and sound performers fuse their diverse artistic backgrounds and practices to create unique interactive experiences in a celebration of movement and sound. The audience is invited to randomly select a combination of artists, who must then perform together.
Artist-Led Activity
Poems While You Wait
1–3 pm
2nd-floor atrium
Receive a typewritten poem on a theme of your choosing from poets with Poems While You Wait.
*Please note that masks are recommended in the theater.
