Yew Nork is proud to present GLORY’S, a two-person collaboration between Alessandra Norman and Liza Jo Eilers. GLORY’S is an ode to the weekend, setting out to give its viewers a peculiar and humorous encounter of the bar in its own right. Like any local watering hole, it’s a place where encounters of all sorts happen. Some days you’re the winner and others the loser but once you pass through the doors you become part of something greater. As you’re a stranger here but once.
Liza Jo Eilers is an artist living and working in Chicago, IL. Eilers received her MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2020. Her Recent solo exhibitions include ‘The Care and Keeping of You’ SULK CHICAGO, Chicago IL; ‘SLUDGE’ Rainbo Club presented by M. Leblanc, Chicago, IL and ‘Good Friday’ Bubblez, Chicago, IL. And a forthcoming two person show with Kate Gross, Material Room, Richmond, VA. Eilers recent group exhibitions include, ‘Sagittarius’ Night Club Gallery, Saint Paul, MN; Ingress Gallery, Soho House, Chicago, IL; ‘Wow, Nice’ Racecar Factory, Indianapolis, IN”
Alessandra Norman is an artist living and working in Chicago, IL. Norman received her MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2019. Recent group exhibitions include Picture Thingy, Chicago Athletic Association (concurrent); Invisible Architecture at Ralph Arnold Gallery, Chicago, IL (forthcoming); Fall Ability, Mayfield, Forest Park, IL; Places I Knew, Durbin Gallery at Birmingham-Southern College, Birmingham, AL and LTD Wear 5, LVL3 Gallery, Chicago, IL.
