“This current collection of mixed media art is mostly built upon cyanotypes created from found materials and negatives. As a mixed media artist I have been excited to work with the cyanotypes as the initial layer in a multi-stepped experience of discovery. Each piece develops on its own as I am intuitively guided to combine imagery, pencil, pastels, paint, fabric, stitch, and wax, etc.

The creative process for me is a collaboration with Spirit. Bit by bit I am called to crop, rotate, outline, add color or texture to build up a piece. In the beginning I have no clear vision or idea in mind for the final image, but in the end the pieces come to life with a visual story open to interpretation by the viewer. I am hopeful that, as with me, this work may elicit an emotion or stir up a vague memory or two of places or moments inspired by mystery and knowing.”
