MI VESTIDO CUELGA AHÍ: Mexican Embroidery

Join us for a three-day fabric workshop inspired by the personal garments notably worn by Frida Kahlo. In these workshops, we will go in-depth, surveying Kahlo’s attire, influences from other regions in Mexico and techniques used to create her vibrant wardrobe.
Huipil Sewing Workshop, May 21, 1:00 – 4:00 pm
Belt Backstrap Weaving Workshop, May 28, 1:00 – 4:00 pm
Mexican Embroidery Workshop, June 4, 1:00 – 4:00 pm
Apply quickly as there are only 10 spots available for each workshop. Registration fee is $75 per workshop or $200 for all three workshops. All materials are included with the fee. Email gabriela@nationalmuseumofmexicanart.org to register.
