The power to ‘mediate between the senses’ using imagination, self-awareness and the power of reason is what drew me immediately to both Michael K. Paxton and Ndivhuho Rasengani. Each in their unique way, one in two dimensional space and the other in four, have created works that understand abstract art’s relationship with the conscious and unconscious mind.
