ARTIST STATEMENT
The Big Orange Weirdo:
I began drawing Donald Trump during his disastrous presidency simply as a means of coping with the corruption, nepotism, and insane levels of lying we all experienced on a daily basis for four grueling years. Although my friends wish I would move on, I continue to use him as subject matter because, unfortunately, he now owns the republican party and remains relevant and a real threat to our democracy. Visually, with his orange skin, frog-like neck, and wispy hair, he’s intriguing to draw and there is obviously a comedic element to his ignorance and stupidity that are rich for exploration.
