Join us for our anniversary art show and celebration of Art West.
Enjoy art presented by Mryon Laban, visual artist and muralist, along with founding artist, Alexie Young at ART WEST. Light refreshments.
About the Show:
“Way Out West” is a visual representation of Westside Wanderlust to elevate the attraction to the cultural assets and social richness of the Westside through a contemporary lens. The works of Myron Labon, visual artist and muralist, along with Art West founder, Alexie Young will present a fresh take on the essence of the overlooked gems “Way Out West!”
Much of the work will include influences of Westside culture in a contemporary body of work that pays tribute to the beauty and grit of the human experience on Westside Through a whimsical lens, many contributions of work implicate the depth of the hearts and minds of Black people.
Opening Weekend Event List:
Tickets Sold Separately ($35-150)
Fri. October 1st, Opening Night from 6-9pm Artist Talk begins at 7:30pm light refreshements.
Sat. October 2nd, Muse + Music from 7-11pm. Enjoy a night of music in the exhibit.
Sun. October 3rd, Art Apparel Shop 3-6pm, A pop up shop experience featuring Art West merchandise and additional art apparel produced by local creatives.
