Join special guest Dr. Jonathan Metzl for a lecture about the exhibition and his research on guns from his book Dying of Whiteness: How the Politics of Racial Resentment Is Killing America’s Heartland (2019). Dr. Metzl is a Professor and Director of the Center for Medicine, Health, and Society at Vanderbilt University, a Psychiatrist, and the Research Director of The Safe Tennessee Project, a non-partisan, volunteer-based organization that is concerned with gun-related injuries and fatalities in America and in Tennessee.
For in-person events, masks as well as proof of vaccination or proof of a negative Covid test within the last 72 hours are required for entry.
