Hatcher/Abrams/Damon is the improvising trio of Gerrit Hatcher, Joshua Abrams and Tyler Damon. Inspired by the extended and unabating musical density of great free jazz ensembles like Cecil Taylor’s Units, and the many acolytes to his music that passed through his bands, Gerrit, Joshua and Tyler want to push their music to see the fruits of both endurance and intensity. Having come together for the first time during the winter of the pandemic for a streaming show at Constellation, this show at Elastic Arts will be Hatcher/Abrams/Damon’s first in-person performance.
