Walk and talk is a one-day pop-up exhibition in the West Loop of Chicago. It is a public outdoor event that facilitates horizontal art viewing, interjecting art into the urban infrastructure. The exhibition features 12 local Chicago artists working within various disciplines and media all making work in relationship with the city and the environment around them, questioning the value of both functional and non-functional spaces.
Walk and talk fosters an opportunity for collective gathering and joyful art viewing as a response to current events. The exhibition will be completely outdoors with ample space for social distancing, allowing the space for conversation and community during this unique time.
The exhibition Walk and talk will take place at the alleyway of 1640 W Carroll Ave, West Loop Chicago on May 8th, 2021 from 12 pm till 5 pm. It will feature work by CHARLIE THORNTON, FRIEDRICH ANDREONI, JEN LEIBOWITZ, KOREY MARTIN, LUCAS FLANDERS, NOUR MALAS, ORI HAMBURG, RACHEL KACHING TANG, RONG BAO, SANDRA ZANETTI, STEPHEN REBER, ZSA ZSA HELMIN.
