Join us for a pre-recorded program featuring historians and scholars in the field discussing the creation of the suburbs to complement our current exhibition “In Focus”. Part one of a two-part series, this program will expand on ways the suburbs of Chicago were created, including the Great Migration, various discriminatory practices, and more.

Eliane Lewinnek, Professor at California State University- Fullerton
Amanda Seligman, Professor at University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee
Mary Barr, Professor at Kentucky State University
Ann Keating, Professor at North Central College, Naperville
Mike Amezcua, Professor at Georgetown University, Washington D.C.
