Virtual Tour | Chicago’s Prohibition Story
@ Chicago History Museum
Online
Opening Saturday, December 5th, at 3PM
Al Capone is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the stories of Prohibition and organized crime in Chicago. Author and historian Paul Durica leads this virtual visit to Chicago of the 1920s and ’30s when Prohibition changed business, culture, and daily life. See notorious sites associated with bootleggers, Al Capone, his North Side rivals, other bootlegging mobs, and John Dillinger, including where gang hits such as the infamous St. Valentine’s Day Massacre took place.
Tour runs about 1 hour; Zoom link provided after registration
