WHEN & WHERE: This is a 3 part workshop consisting of instructional videos, a zoom session and an in person session at LATITUDE:

Part 1 (asynchronous): Watch instructional videos on at your own pace before November 5th on Vimeo.com

Part 2 (virtual): Thursday November 5th, 2020 from 6:30-7:30pm CST on Zoom

Part 3 (in person): Wednesday November 11th either from 6pm-7pm OR 7:30-8:30pm CST at LATITUDE

We are excited to introduce our redesigned Intro to Print Workshop for the first time in 2020! COVID19 has presented LATITUDE with interesting difficulties with our workshops. Many of our classes were hands-on and put multiple folks in the same room learning together. To keep workshop attendees and instructors safe, we have modified the format of the workshop to adhere to social distancing guidelines and other COVID-19 precautions.

Have you always wanted to print at LATITUDE, but don’t know where to start?! Have no fear, Intro to Printing is here!

Join us for this introductory course covering the basics of printing on Epson printers with a color managed workflow. You’ll walk away with the confidence to enter the lab and print on your own with minimal assistance, as well as two 8”x 10” prints of your own work! Completing all three parts of the workshop is mandatory to be certified to print at LATITUDE as a DIY user.

Paper selection, handling & loading

File prep, resolution, & management

Photoshop print settings & ICC profiles

Printer settings & basic troubleshooting

Space is limited to 6 participants total so grab your spot early! For the in person portion of the class, 2 time slots will be available to choose from, and each of those sessions will be capped at 3 attendees. Attending both the zoom and in person session is mandatory to be certified to print as a DIY user at LATITUDE.

Not available on the 5th or 11th? ! One-on-one tutoring sessions for Intro to print are also available upon request. Email education@latitudechicago.org for details. Please allow at least up to 2 weeks for scheduling as our available staff is limited.
