Part I: What are people looking for in a democracy? In this session, panelists will discuss the right to vote, the right to protest, the importance of a free press, and the ability to live joyfully in public spaces. Featuring Melanie Chambliss, PhD, Assistant Professor, Humanities, History, and Social Sciences; Joan Giroux, Professor and Associate Chair, Art and Art History; Raquel L. Monroe, PhD, Director, Academic Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion & Associate Professor of Dance; and Sharon Bloyd-Peshkin, Associate Professor of Journalism.
