Amazigh Contemporary is proud to present A Pinch Of Salt by Matan Golan, a Chicago-based artist from Israel. Amazigh Contemporary will be open by appointment only on July 17, 18 and 19 between 12-6 pm. Visitors can register for a 45 minutes time slot with a maximum of 4 visitors via www.amazighcontemporary.com. For your safety and that of ours, we are taking precautions and there will be no opening reception for this exhibition.

The exhibition “A Pinch Of Salt” explores the relationships between objects and bodies in the domestic context. Golan sheds light on the way we use the objects that surround us—with a nod to possibilities of play and pleasure. What happens when a mundane instrument is not merely a passive object, but an active participant? As in many houses, the dining room table is the heart of the exhibition. It is a ground for nurturing, communality, and gatherings. In his subtle, yet whimsical approach, Golan wishes to serve what is pushed under the table as a main course.
