LOCUS: IV, an online gallery show
@ The Martin
Opening Saturday, June 27th, at 7PM
On view through Saturday, July 11th
LOCUS is a recurring gallery event that blindly pairs visual and literary artists in order to explore how different mediums respond and react to each other’s work. In this iteration, twelve literary artists shared new or existing short works which were then individually shared with twelve visual artists without them knowing the original creator’s name or the title of the work and asked to make new pieces from there.
Twenty-four artists write, paint, photograph, develop and design from home during a pandemic with an uprising directly in the middle of the creation period. LOCUS: IV will be the culmination of all of that work, shared completely online.
You’ll be able to dive deep into the artists process with reaction videos, a moderated interview, process insights and of course, the culmination of artwork.
