@ DePaul Art Museum

Opening Wednesday, May 13th, at 2PM
Join Chicago-based artist Leslie Baum for a shared art-making experience from the comfort of your own home! Baum’s Plein Air Project is a series in which the artist invites friends and colleagues on a “painting date” in a park, backyard, or natural area to create small-scale watercolors. Her work is informed by the intimacy, vulnerability, and sharing that unfolds while engaged together in the act of painting. During this virtual painting date, Baum will lead an informal art-making session as participants translate an interior scene or outside view into a painting. No prior experience is necessary. Please use materials that you already have at home.
Materials: Watercolors, brushes, and paper. If you don’t have watercolors, you can replace them with water-soluble markers, colored pencils, chalk, and a bit of water.
This online event is free and open to people ages 10+ and all skill levels. Advance registration is required and attendance is limited.
