Designers are amazing at responding to change, and their ability to unpack what is essential in any issue, including those critical to design, lends itself to an adaptability that is of utmost importance right now. We are now seeing designers rushing in to lend humanitarian support—to redesign and print face shields, make masks, create and gather resources, and even shift manufacturing processes to meet the needs of those on the frontlines of this crisis. IIDA has invited a panel of thoughtful designers in the field to come together for this important discussion on giving back and coming together.
