ChiResists & SSA Without Borders & SSA Poetry Club
ChiResists is a collaborative platform with a popular education framework empowering individual persons to become organizers and to engage in their communities with residents and organizations on their own terms.
Organizing. Community. Conversation. Media. Direct Action.
SSA Without Borders is an organization of University of Chicago’s School of Social Work. Recognizing the academic norms of engagement are often insufficient in creating spaces for deep exploration, we create spaces for generative, creative engagement with critical issues related to decolonization, anti-capitalism, and liberatory practices.
FLOODS HALL:
Flood’s Hall is an independent space dedicated to supporting civic-minded groups and projects on the South Side.
Directions & Accessibility of Space (for facebook and other publicity): 1515 E. 52nd Place, Hyde Park. It’s a little tricky to find, as it’s more of an alley than a street. It’s in the alley behind Valois Restaurant, in between 52nd and 53rd Street. Enter under the blue awning, and there is an elevator to the third floor.
