The Chicago community is invited to spend the night at Ground Level Platform for Sleepover: thealmostanyspacewhatever, a one-night sleepover event of art games that merges public and domestic space. The exhibition space will be transformed into an encompassing pillow-fortscape, featuring soft sculpture and fiber-based work from artists Seomy Ahn, Nolan Barry, Naomi Elson, Samuel Ezra Fisch, Cecilia Iwata, Jacklynn Kelsey, and Lauren Lacoponi that will be incorporated into the built environment. The installation will be open to the public and will turn into an RSVP-only event. To RSVP, visit groundlevelplatform.org
We hope to see you there!
Note for slumberers: Pick your pajamas! We strongly encourage you to bring a pillow and blanket if possible.
*Ground Level Platform is an inclusive space that is open to all gender expressions, colors, religions, cultural backgrounds and physical and mental abilities. Any person who disrespects the space of other participants will be immediately removed from the event.*
