CHICAGO: Calling all sistas to the circle for:

“Sis, U Belong Here : Manifest 2020”

We’re kicking off 2020 Black-womaning, kikiing, planning and activating. To MANIFEST and claim the next decade as our own, we’ll adjust our crowns and take self-care to the next level of communal care.

Manifesting is the process of aligning our thoughts, feelings and beliefs into our desired reality.

This gathering is FREE and REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.

Not only is time, energy, and tons of Black Girl Magic being poured into the planning of this day, there is also our resources. Financially, we are pouring into this day to make it special.

We are ALL worthy of special.

Special = setting the tone for a year of MANIFESTING.

Sooooo, we gotta know if you’re coming, and y’all gotta show up for yourself and for us! We’re accountable for each other. So please, REGISTER. Registration closes, January 2, 2pm.

In addition to your curator and SpaceMaker-with-the-mostest, veronica precious bohanan… we will also be joined by guest facilitators:

+ Nicole Goss, Body positivity advocate and founder of Black Gurl Hoopin—promoting body-positive fitness through the use of adult hulahoop.

+Sandria Washington, Yogini, Influencer and CEO of Real G’s Move In Alignment (RGMIA)—an affirmative clothing and accessories brand that reminds you to live in your greatest truth.

+Sharon Powell, Poet, Reproductive Justice Advocate, and Adjunct Professor at Columbia College, Chicago.

+Emily Hooper-Lansana, Storyteller, Co-founder of The Reborn Poetry Ensemble, and the Associate Director of Arts Engagement at University of Chicago’s Logan Center

U are encouraged to:

• show-up authentically

• wear comfortable clothes

• bring something meaningfulness to put on the altar that represents MANIFESTING!

• bring a bottle of water so you can stay hydrated, hot tea will also be provided

Justice Hotel at 6018North is a 5-room hotel created in partnership with the Chicago Architecture Biennial from September 18, 2019 to January 5, 2020. We invite you to “check in” to justice.
