Straight to the Heart!: Workshop/Open Mic Night
@ National Cambodian Heritage Museum and Killing Fields Memorial
2831 W Lawrence Ave, Chicago, IL 60625
Opening Thursday, November 14th, from 6:30PM - 8:30PM
I am happy to announce Straight to the Heart! Workshop/Open mic Night, combining an optional storytelling workshop and an open mic for people to practice telling stories and for community members to gather to share stories in an intimate setting.
This event, made possible by the grant from Asian Giving Circle, is scheduled for Thursday November 14 at 6:30pm at the National Cambodian Heritage Museum.
The storytelling workshop starts at 6:30pm and ends at 7:30pm. This is optional; if you have never done storytelling before and would like to learn the basics, stop by and take the workshop. Otherwise, come for the open mic.
The open mic starts at 7:30pm and is open to workshop participants as well as anyone who would like to test out their materials.
There will be no featured tellers for this event.
National Cambodian Heritage Museum is wheelchair accessible.
