Join us for “The Channels & Our Purpose” with Khadijah Kysia, organized by Rhonda Wheatley. Brunch included.
Doctors of acupuncture specialize in navigating networks that facilitate a flow of life promoting ‘current’ . These channels connect our internal world to all of external environments- Nature and society. Channel connections play a role in structuring our perception and mediating the healing response.
The channels direct a number of biochemical processes that are analogous to those we associate with cellular respiration, endocrine function, and temperature regulation.
In this workshop we will also explore the “ Heart field” as a conveyor of information, carrying impulses to our brains and synapsis at the speed of light. What influence can this field have on the channels and our personal interactions?
Wear comfortable clothing and bring paper and pencil.
1.) Tea and Introduction:

2.) Exercises: Flow, Imagine, Reflect
* Breath work and Intention: Flexibility and Orientation
* The Eye of the Heart: Focus and Awareness
* Natural Resonances : How might Nature atrributes and their corresponding gestures be cultivated in your current space?
BIO
Khadijah Kysia is a licensed acupuncturist and doctoral fellow at Five Branches University, San Jose. She has a Master degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, Chicago and a Bachelors Degree from the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor) in Creative Writing. She is a NCCAOM board certified herbalist. Khadijah works at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine as student clinic supervisor and practitioner. Khadijah’s private practices is in Humboldt Park, Chicago.
