Critically acclaimed woodwind master Mwata Bowden’s “One Foot In One Foot Out” CD will be released on November 23 at 9pm at Elastic Arts, 3429 W Diversey Ave #208 with a live performance by ensemble members Ari Brown, Harrison Bankhead, Avreeayl Ra, Leon Q. Allen and Discopoet Khari B. From his beginnings with 70’s funk band “Black Lightning to the world renowned “8 Bold Souls,” Bowden has recorded and performed throughout the world with top names in the field of R & B, funk and creative improvised music. This project marks Bowden’s first recording as leader and composer.
