Mariano’s Bronzeville continues to incorporate the cultural legacy of Bronzeville and Chicago’s South Side through a new community art project championed by well-known artist Dorian Sylvain. Ms. Sylvain will be creating a new mural titled, Color Me Southside and the community is invited to participate in this one-of-a kind art project.

Join us On Saturday, October 5th from noon to 4 p.m., to paint on the AfriCOBRA Community Wall. Mariano’s customers and members of the community will be welcomed to grab a small cup of paint and a paint brush and color in any space, like a giant coloring book! This communal shaping of the neighborhood aesthetic was a core principle of the “Wall of Respect” and AfriCOBRA. This mural will continue that ethos of community empowerment.
