Art Speaks: I want to be…
@ Catherine Edelman Gallery
1637 W Chicago Ave, Chicago, IL 60622
Opening Saturday, October 12th, from 12 PM - 1 PM
On view through Saturday, November 9th
Catherine Edelman Gallery is thrilled to present the third installment of Art Speaks, that takes place in the gallery every second Saturday from 12:00 – 1:00 pm. This new year-round initiative invites local writers and poets to read pieces they have written based on the theme present in the exhibition on view, providing a venue for local writers to share their work. Our goal is to encourage and stimulate creative expression in an interdisciplinary setting, offering an opportunity for local creatives to collaborate and form connections. The works being read will range from poetry to fiction, experimental to narrative.
Join us October 12 to hear Jennifer Steele, Nicholas Hayes, Jarrett Neal, Morgan Martinez (and more!) read work based on the theme “I want to be…” in conjunction with our current exhibition Sandro Miller: I am Papua New Guinea. The event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be provided.
