Please join coordinator, Sierrah Floyd for a night of intentional networking at the Digital and 2-D Practices portion of OFFERING. Creatives who are working or interested in working with people that are making in this capacity are encouraged to join us in community and for a small discussion between W.D. Floyd and Chelsea Ekmuakhagbon.
W.D. Floyd is a Chicago native and photographer Chicago. He most recently was featured in the Chicago Reader with the photo essay, “Black fatherhood”. Interested in the narratives of Chicago’s black citizens and softening the perspective of the community, Floyd is creating ways to make black communities sustainable through his agricultural efforts with black youth. Emuakhagbon is a rising second-year Master of the Arts student at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago from Texas and focuses on Black life, interactions within this community and the specific atmosphere of different communities within the Black diaspora.
