The number of women-owned businesses has increased by 114% over the past decade, however they are still far less likely to receive funding than their male counterparts. Despite the challenges, women across Chicago are starting and running successful businesses. Built by Women will explore the startup stories of business owners, highlighting their motivations, obstacles, and successes through a series of conversations between entrepreneurs and business development experts. The event will also include ample time for questions, conversations, and networking and there will be a women-owned market on-site featuring products from a few of our favorite local businesses!
Our goal is to make this event accessible to everyone, the $16 ticket cost covers appetizers (catered by Marz) and one beer ticket. Additional beers will be available for purchase at the event.
