Chicago Antiquarian Map, Book & Ephemera Fair is an annual event that will hencefourth be held at the Newberry Library on 60 W. Walton St. The Newberry is internationally recognized for their impressive antique map collection and is home to the Chicago Map Society, making it the perfect venue for such an event.
Chicago Antiquarian Map, Book & Ephemera Fair will consist of over thirty antiquarian map, print, and book dealers from around the world, displaying material spanning five hundred years of cartographic history. Over this three day event, attendees will have the opportunity to browse, learn about, and purchase such cartographic treasures for themselves.
Chicago Antiquarian Map, Book & Ephemera Fair will also include an preview night cocktail reception, a lecture series focused on the history of cartography and a hands on activities station provided by the History in Your Hands Foundation (HIYHF).
The History in Your Hands Foundation is a Chicago based, educational non-profit organization with a mission to provide schools with authentic historical objects and primary source material for a more enriched learning experience within the classroom. All NET proceeds of the Chicago Antiquarian Map, Book & Ephemera Fair will go towards funding of HIYHF programs.
