Opening Wednesday, April 24th, from 6PM - 8PM
Sam Kirk is a Chicago-based artist who creates artwork to celebrate people and to inspire pride and recognition for underrepresented communities. Her artwork focuses on a variety of intersections which encompass a call to celebrate differences and enact change. Join us for an evening of creative enlightenment inspired by her work.
At this Lab, Kirk will engage participants in an interactive conversation about individual identity and valuing difference, while sharing her journey of creating a career that challenges personal opinions and social injustices through the beauty of art. Each attendee will create and leave with their own original piece of art inspired by this conversation as well as a better understanding of how creativity influences identity, helps embrace differences, and ultimately, connects us all.
Please wear clothes you don’t mind arting in.
