Our first exhibition in our remodeled and accessible space!
Dear Friends & Neighbors,
PO Box Collective, a group of your Rogers Park neighbors, are creating a community art space in the old PO Box center at 6900 N. Glenwood Ave.
We invite you to join us in creating our first exhibition, PO Box Mail-In Show. To honor the history of the space, we are seeking contributions in the form of mail (a letter, postcard, or package).
What it is: You contribute any piece of mail that reflects something you’d like to share with the community. It could be a postcard you find beautiful, or a piece of Rogers Park ephemera. It can be funny, sad, mundane, elaborate, or simple, such as:
– A poster, announcement, zine or pamphlet that is related to the neighborhood.
– A note that shares your hopes for—or memories of—the neighborhood.
– An old letter that relates to the history of our community.
– A piece of mail that you received from the space.
How it works:
– Mail something to arrive by April 20th to PO Box Collective, 6900 Glenwood Ave. Chicago, IL 60626
– Bring your piece of mail to the opening on April 28th
– Make your piece at the opening on April 28th
