Ali Asgar (b. 1991, Bangladesh) is a transdisciplinary artist and cultural producer whose work focuses on the body and the relationship between the body and space. Isolation and displacement play a key role in Ali’s recent projects. Their performance and exhibition at Amazigh Contemporary responds to the host space, investigating notions of home and belongingness in the intimacy of an apartment.

To attend this exhibition and performance, please REGISTER for one of the two time periods at www.amazighcontemporary.com

Amazigh Contemporary is a creative and communal space, situated in an apartment in River North. It offers an intimate and inclusive way of experiencing art. “Amazigh” means the “free people,” an ode to the indigenous people of North Africa. Amazigh Contemporary aims to inspire action for social change with art exhibitions, education sessions, activist support groups and much more. Our events are free and open to everyone.
