Forms and Features: Poetry and the Collective Experience
@ Gallery 400
400 S Peoria St, Chicago, IL 60607
Opening Thursday, March 7th, from 6PM - 8PM
Join us for a poetry discussion and creative writing workshop in conversation with the artworks in “All have the same breath,” on view at Gallery 400, and led by Maggie Queeney, Poetry Foundation Library Coordinator.
After engaging with the exhibition, we will read and discuss poems that explore the artworks’ prevalent themes. Together, we will compose a collaborative poem that uses breath, repetition, and visualization to describe our individual and collective experiences and relationship to the earth.
The workshop is free and open to all but space is limited. Reserve your space here: bit.ly/ffpoetryworkshop
“All have the same breath” is on view at Gallery 400 from January 18-March 9, 2019.
