Join us for a discussion about the challenges people encounter when reentering communities after incarceration. From getting identification, to finding employment, housing and being able to provide for their basic needs such as quality food and clothing citizens re-entering from incarceration face a fragmented support system.

Representatives from organizations that have re-entry programs will discuss their work and why reentry efforts are too often fragmented across the city and even within communities, as well as how organizations can coordinate to offer better support to people reentering society.

Topics covered: housing, employment, community reintegration, and documentation – with organizations such as READIThe Night MinistryCircles & Ciphers, and North Lawndale Community Coordinating Council.

Refreshments will be provided.
