The Illinois Art Therapy Association is excited to invite proposals for the 38th annual conference: art: reconnect, rethink, redefine: A conversation about the use of art in contemporary Art Therapy practice.
It’s all about the art! The art is the heart and soul of our work; whether we watch people make it, create it ourselves, or look at. The art is a common thread between all art therapists. The goal of this year’s conference is to provide art therapists with a day of re-examining and discussing their connection and current perspective on the use of art and art making in contemporary art therapy practice. At the 38th IATA conference, we hope to promote an open conversation and an inspiring experience that will allow us to continue to create, connect, and collaborate as advocates for the arts.
