Join Caitlin Drake McKay for an intimate tattooing ritual. Historically, tattooing has been used across the globe as an intentional act of identity, but modern tattooing largely ignores one ancient aspect – as an act of healing. On JANUARY 5th we seek to bridge this concept into the modern world.
Caitlin has prepared a sheet of sigil designs for this purpose. This event will not be a conventional tattooing experience. We will be booking out time slots, allowing participants to sit and chat one-on-one with Caitlin about their intention with this ritual and to customize it to their individual needs.
Participants will be given information packets about their designs and may be asked to follow up with small rituals at home. All tools and ink used in the ritual will be cleansed magically and consecrated prior to the event. We will follow all modern health standards. Together we will be asking permission and guidance from our spirit guides and giving thanks for the experience. Be prepared to get weird. Participants are asked to respect the artists recommendations on size and placement and to contact her prior to the event to introduce yourself, place a deposit, and to communicate intention in participating.
