Let’s survive the holidays and get rid of 2018 in style! We’re excited to bring you the last Sappho’s of the year…and we’re using the occasion of the Trump administration going after trans people to give trans people more of a voice than ever. Truly, we don’t need an occasion for this, but fuck Trump. Our lineup will all trans/nb/gnc folks, and our trans friends to the front for the 5-minute open mic slots!
Who is this fabulous trans/nb lineup?! Triple threat and longtime friend of the show Saint Sparklebear, ukulele deity Garnet Williams, and shape-shifting comic storyteller KJ Whitehead! By their powers combined, they will destroy trans oppression in all its forms…at least for the evening. 😉
As always, Pay What You Can: proceeds go to performers and Women’s Voices Fund. If you step up to the open mic, you get a bookstore coupon, and we will have your favorite Middle Eastern foods, plus your favorite odd co-hosting not-couple, Liz Baudler and Eileen Tull. Plus, we wanna announce some changes for 2019…like maybe adding an extra show… 😉
