Shawné Michaelain Holloway works in the field of expanded cinema, developing experimental scores and live performances. Her project at the MCA is the latest in The Chamber Series, begun in 2017. The series consists of a portfolio of scores inspired by graphic notation for classical music and illustrating BDSM acts that are meant to be read and “played” as a performance.

In Progress is a series designed to give patrons a look into the process of artists, thinkers, and curators. It is organized by Curator of Public Programs January Parkos Arnall and Assist Curator of Public Programs Christy LeMaster.
