Día de los Muertos: After Dark

Join us Thursday, October 4th from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm for the first Día de los Muertos: After Dark of this season. This month’s theme is Noche de Arte and we have a variety of art activities lined up!
• Make paper flowers with artist, Dalila Perez-Castañeda starting at 6:00 pm. Using a few simple techniques, you can learn how to make your own flowers for your altar.
• Learn about Día de los Muertos: Xicágo at our information table. Fill out an application to make your own ofrenda dedicated to a loved one at the community celebration.
• Bring one or two photos of a deceased loved one to scan and submit for inclusion in the illuminated ofrenda at Día de los Muertos: Xicágo.
• View Día de Muertos: A Spiritual Legacy
• Visit the Tzintzuntzán gift shop, which will be open late and pick up all your ofrenda needs like papel picado and sugar skulls!
