We are very excited to partner with Hooligan Mag to present a new series that allows artists to talk about the books that inspire them, both in their work and in their personhood.

In each event, 2-3 artists will be chosen based on the books they’ve decided to discuss. The books will have some overlap, whether it’s theme, setting, style, or similar author reception. There will be an interviewer who will lead the discussion, but the goal is to see how the core elements of a story in a book can influence artists. We will learn about the books, the artists, and lessons we can derive from both.

There will be copies of both books for sale for each event. We ask for a $5 donation because this event will be recorded and produced into a podcast and we believe in paying artists for the hard work they do. This money will also go towards Hooligan Magazine, an independently funded art publication, in order to progress Hooligan, pay their writers & photographers, and put issues into print.

Donations can be cash or via PayPal at hooliganmagazine@gmail.com or Venmo @rivkayeker
