Navigating through life’s emotional, surprise-filled, zigzagging journey can be an exhausting and isolating effort. This path towards adulthood is filled with more unrest and challenges than your social feed portrays (#blessed). But what if we were to share these personal stories?
Join us in the Studio on Sunday, June 3rd as we welcome writer & illustrator Mari Andrew to share her story of working through life’s difficult challenges. Moderated by our dear friend Anjali Pinto, we’ll hear about Mari’s creative journey and how she turned her life’s detours into an amazing body of work that is equal parts hilarious and real.
We’ll also get the chance to talk about Mari’s new book: Am I There Yet?, a collection of brand new doodles & stories dedicated to her personal journey. If you don’t have the book yet – we’ve got you covered! City Lit Books will be selling copies that you can have signed by the author.
