Jun 9th 2018

Inspired by Olaronke Akinmowo’s The Free Black Women’s Library, a small group of Black women in Chicago have come together for a 4th time to organize this celebration of books written by and about Black women and girls.

Join us for a day of healing sessions, craft workshops, and teach-ins. This year, the Chicago Free Black Women’s Library is centering Black youth and healthy families. We also invite you to bring a book by a Black woman to exchange for one in our library.

This is an all ages, all genders event. Come and bring a friend, a mentor/mentee, a parent/child.
