Patrick Jagoda and Thenmozhi Soundararajan
@ The Richard and Mary L. Gray Center for Arts and Inquiry
929 E 60th St, Ste 112, Chicago, IL 60637
Opening Tuesday, May 8th, from 6PM - 8PM
SIDEBAR welcomes Gray Center Mellon Collaborative Fellows Patrick Jagoda (UChicago Department of English) and Thenmozhi Soundararajan (activist, transmedia artist and theorist) in conversation about their fellowship project, Imagining Futures.
Along with their other collaborator, Melissa Gilliam (Uchicago Medicine), Jagoda and Soundararajan used Imagining Futures as an opportunity to consider various ways we might be able to look at futurism as a way to build community and power. As part of their project, a survey is being conducted that seeks “to harness our greatest weapons against this pessimism: our imagination.” Click here if you’d like to participate: https://www.equalitylabs.org/imagining-futures/
SIDEBAR is an ongoing conversation series organized by the Gray Center. Join us at 6:00pm for food and drinks as we settle into an evening of productive engagement with our invited guests.
